Description
The Red Feather Development Group (RFDG) aims to bring sustainable and affordable housing to Tribal Lands. The group leads two separate initiatives. The first initiative works to bring solar energy to tribal lands while the second seeks to build sustainable housing. RFDG partners with homeowners, community members, and tribal agencies to provide training and resources, address community members most urgent housing and safety needs, and repair and weatherize homes.

Impact
The Red Feather Development Groups (RFDG) community development work has seen promising results. In seven years, the organization has reached over 1,000 individuals and distributed over 700 "home health kits" to tribal land homeowners.
Results / Accomplishments
The Red Feather Development Group has seen promising impact. Between 2013 and 2019, 1,090 individuals participated in RFDG culturally relevant educational courses, 754 home health kits were distributed to homeowners, 215 homes were used as learning laboratories, and 153 homes received substantial home weatherization improvements. In addition, over 100 families received assistance through Red Feather’s Native Home Resource Network case management program.
