Goal: Mass in Motion aims to reduce obesity and promote healthy eating and physical activity through school and workplace policy changes, grants for communities, and an educational website.

Goal: MHHM was rolled out with the following overall goal: to create a community wide culture that encourages and supports healthy lifestyles by promoting increased physical activity (10,000 steps/day goal), optimal nutrition, healthy public policy and access to resources and facilities that bolster the stated goal. Specific goals include:

- Increasing the number of people in Louisville Metro who engage in 30 minutes of moderate physical activity at least 5 days a week by 15%.
- Decreasing the percentage of overweight or obese people in Louisville Metro by 10%.
- Increasing from 22% to 38% the number of people in Louisville Metro who eat five or more servings of fruits and vegetables per day.

Past and future Behavior Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) surveys will be used to measure baseline and follow-up indicators.

Goal: MYW's mission is to provide all youth with meaningful training and job opportunities aimed at facilitating a successful transition from school to work and to contribute to workforce development in Montgomery County.

The purpose of the Montgomery Partnership for All Youth is to expand the skills of workforce development professionals on how to assist youth with disabilities in taking advantage of youth workforce initiatives.

Goal: The goal of Mornings in Motion is to incorporate high quality and structured physical activity into the school day.

Goal: The goal of ME First/ME After is to address the gap in treatment resources for individuals waiting to be admitted to treatment for substance abuse or who are reintegrating back into the community after treatment by supporting motivation for change, increasing wellness and decreasing recidivism.

Impact: Over 200 clients participated in the ME First program in 2013. Approximately 80% of these clients completed the program and entered treatment for substance abuse with increased motivation for change.

Goal: Move Beyond Crisis is a walk-in-center that helps individuals and families find emergency housing and support services, including food vouchers, clothing, and benefits.

Goal: New Beginnings promotes resilience in children after parental divorce by providing mothers and their children with group and individual-based sessions.

Impact: The New Beginnings program improves post-divorce adjustment outcomes such as interparental conflict, mother-child relationships, and coping strategies by targeting predictive behaviors.

Healthy Marin
